Neil specialises in all aspects of intellectual property, including patents, copyright, trademarks and designs, both contentious and non-contentious. He also advises on a wide range of commercial matters and agreements. He acts for a wide range of clients from major international and household names to SME's.
BUSINESS POLITICS
Neil is chairman of Birmingham Business Focus, an organisation of business men and women who meet regularly to discuss the issues facing Birmingham, and seek to influence the decision makers. Neil has been described as one of the most recognisable business leaders in Birmingham.
ARTS & CREATIVE
Neil has a long standing interest in the arts in and around the Greater Birmingham area, he sits on the regional council of Arts Council England. He is a patron of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the CBSO and is Chairman of Birmingham Spitfire Museum project.

Neil Maybury was born in Birmingham and educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham and the University of Birmingham. After qualifying as a Solicitor in London with Clifford-Turner (now Clifford Chance), he remained in London for some years before returning to Birmingham as a partner with Pinsent & Co (now Pinsent Masons) where he remained for some twenty years.
He was then a partner in DLA (now DLA Piper Carey) for a number of years, and after a running his own firm for seven years now operates as an independent consultant. He specialises in intellectual property and commercial law.
Neil is a patron of the CBSO and the Birmingham Royal Ballet, and a former Chairman of the Birmingham Rep Development Committee. He is currently Chairman of Birmingham Business Focus, chairman of the Spitfire Museum, President of the Hood Down Club and leads the Tennis Museum Project. He lives in Birmingham and Shropshire, is a pilot, and his interests include his four children, gardening, tennis, opera and classic cars.
